New Orleans Blend® Coffee and Chicory

Consisting of Arabica beans and premium chicory, this coffee is served in many New Orleans cafes and various French venues throughout southern Louisiana. This coffee is characterized by heavy chicory accents and is generally a very thick, rich, dark/strong cup of coffee. New Orleans Blend is a joy to drink, but it might not be a coffee for everyone, nor is it considered by many to be a "every day coffee". It is common to blend it with other Community Coffee selections if you desire a richer chicory flavor. This coffee goes well weight beignets as the bitter yet slightly sweet chicory compliments the powdered sweetness of the french market donuts. We have been told this is the same coffee Cafe Dumonde serves, but since there is a Community Coffee Cafe blend, we haven't yet confirmed that his is indeed the blend served there.

With all the above being said, it's definitely a coffee everyone should try at least once. Especially for a thick, rich, cajun creole coffee treat that will give you a full New Orleans tradition.
